I was just going to make the same comment - I have a real soft spot for Bateman's (good beer, battle for independence, beautiful looking brewery, family-run, etc) but this lost them a brace of brownie points in my world.

A straw has broken the camel's back.

We have several bones to pick with the world of cask ale – cringe-inducing beer names, woeful artwork and generally execrable branding.

Why, when there is the continual background murmur "we want more people to try cask ale", do brewers keep giving their beers cringeingly bad, wince-inducing names and wilfully amateurish artwork?

It must stop!

Only by naming and shaming the culprits can we improve the presentation of cask ale.

This is how it works: when you come across a bad pumpclip (name or image or both) take a pic with your mobile and upload it!
